Tacoma Members

Jordan Henderson, Norm Vat, Kathy Thi Thach, Kevin Kop and Milton "Chino" Celedon-Perez Joined the Revolution of Responsibility as members of the 4-H Technology Club in Tacoma, Washington in 2010-2011. They helped create  4-H videos about environmental stewardship on the Olympic Peninsula of Washington state. The teens met weekly with then WSU Pierce County Extension 4-H Technology Program coordinator, Jennifer Johnson. Pamela Roberts, former 4-H coordinator for WSU Jefferson County Extension, visited the group to coach the video production process. Ms. Roberts had videotaped footage for the project by visiting U.S.F.S. projects with Jefferson County 4-H Stewardship crew members and chiefs.
Each one of these talented actors brought something special to the project, making the process of production a real team effort.  The goal was to produce a film that would appeal to children that would teach them about real scientific issues. Chino led the script writing, Kathy and Norm were the lead reporters, Jordan anchored the script with his card playing skills, and Kevin cracked everyone up with his puppets and silly voices. These 4-H actors have discovered talents individually and as a team that are More Than They Could Ever Imagine! In 2013
WSU Jefferson County and Pierce County Extension 4-H staff and volunteers then created extra scripts, made audio tapes, and finished editing and producing the videos. This was a great collaboration between the U.S.F.S., Washington State 4-H Foundation, and WSU Jefferson and Pierce County Extensions. Thanks to all who worked together to bring the Olympic Peninsula forest to the youth of urban western Washington. Enjoy!
